GOT THROUGH

Sometimes I find myself thinking,
"Whew, got through that."
Got through Christmas.
Got through New Year's Eve.
Got through that meeting I was dreading.
Got through that dinner
with a visitor from out of town.
Got through that doctor's appointment.
Got through the gym today.
And then I catch myself.
When it's all over,
I'll have gotten through
my life.
