GOAL!

Watching a soccer game is like
filming a television commercial.
If you've never been on a shoot,
here's what happens, basically.
Nothing.
There is the illusion of a great deal of activity.
Lots of scurrying about that comes to naught.
You watch and watch and watch and watch
and watch and watch and watch.
Finally, your attention wanders.
BOOM!
In that instant
the one important thing,
the one essential thing,
the one thing that is
your whole reason for being there,
the one thing that you absolutely had to see,
well you know.
You missed it.
